Photography

 1. Take a picture of something blue using rule of thirds.

Football is something that is very close to my heart, whether it be playing or watching. I first grew a liking for it during my early school days, playing with my friends in the games period. Since then, almost 7,8 years later we all have still gone on playing together, now as a part of a football team playing against clubs from all over the twin cities. The above picture is of my shirt of my football team which I wear with a lot of pride.

2. Take a picture of something yellow using rule of thirds

The past week as I was standing on a sidewalk waiting for my Careem, these small yellow flowers caught my eye. I could not help but notice these perennial flowers, how dozens of them sprung from a common stem. Sometimes, the smallest of things are enough to brighten up one's day, the same way the vibrant yellow color of these small flowers rejuvenated me.

3. Take a picture of something using fill the frame.

Following is the picture of the book 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho which I read the past summer during lockdown. As the world had come to an abrupt halt during the coronavirus, I decided to take up a new hobby, book-reading. I wasn't really fond of reading, especially literature and novels, but I decided to give "The Alchemist" a go upon the recommendation of many of my friends. And to my surprise, I was tremendously influenced by what the book had to offer. It provided a deep insight into the human spirit, and the secrets of the universe. It gave me a really good start and afterwards I ended up reading 4 more books by the end of the summer.

4. Take an interesting photo of a building from up high or down low.

The Holy Ka'ba, the most sacred place of all the Muslims present in the world. Though I've been to many different countries, visited many different places, but the sensation of visiting Saudia and Masjid-ul-Haraam was unparalleled. The crowds of thousands of people, all present for the same cause truly makes one want to submit to the Almighty. I took this picture before last year, while performing Umrah.

5. Using leading lines, take a photo of a person or a thing.

The above picture was a pretty random one, which I took during an evening as I passed through a parking lot. As the Sun set, it provided an aesthetic purple view, along with the recurring lines of the parking lot. The scene really caught my attention and I decided to capture it with my mobile.

6. Using different leading lines, take a photo of different person or thing.

This picture can be seen to be taken of my dear friend, Hamza in the pathway leading to the distinguished Main Office of NUST. Among many other commendable attributes of NUST, I found the architecture of the buildings to be quite fascinating. Also, the greenery and the natural landscape of the campus make the university quite picturesque. I hope that university life resumes to normal as soon as possible so that we may be able to savor all the good times NUST has to offer.

7. Take a nice vertical portrait of one of your friends, make sure to check all corners of the frame.

This is Ibrahim. Take my word for it, you surely won't meet a person more humorous, and full of life than him. He is the sort of person who will come up with a joke or a witty remark at the most unexpected of situations and lighten the atmosphere. There's never a dull moment around him. We have been great friends for more than 4 years and during those 4 years, we have made countless memories together.

8. Now take a horizontal portrait of a teacher, or a classmate.

Here is Ahmad. Now, the story of my friendship with Ahmad is quite interesting. Upon first impression, he seemed like a pretty stern person, someone with whom I thought I won't really get along with. But boy was I wrong. He's one of the friendliest and jolliest people to have around. I can easily say he is one of the most dependable friends I have, a friend on whom I can really count on. I took this horizontal portrait of him the past weekend when we went out to catch up with each other during these busy times.

9. Finally, take a creative photo of yourself.

Finally, here, this is me. Standing out from the rest. The aforementioned friend, Ahmad captured this picture as we thought it would make a pretty cool portrait in the dark.

So that was it from my blog! Hope you had an enjoyable time reading it. Have a blessed day.
